January 9, 2018 – McDermott & Bull is pleased to announce the successful appointment of Noreen Fong as Head of Software Engineering with Panasonic Avionics Corporation, the world’s leading supplier of inflight entertainment and communications systems.
This executive recruiting engagement was conducted by Rod McDermott, CEO & Co-Founder; Craig Sabina, Principal Consultant; Jared Moriarty, Principal Consultant; and Michael Finegold, Recruiting Associate at McDermott & Bull. Fong is one of Southern California’s leading Software Engineering Leaders who most recently served as Vice President of Set-Top Box Software Engineering for DIRECTV/AT&T. She began her career in aerospace, first with Northrop Grumman and then as a Member of the Technical Staff at Hughes Space and Communications Company. At DIRECTV, Fong led the development of the first HD set-top box, the HR20. Over the next decade, she helped build the set-top box engineering organization from a team of seven engineers to a group of over 650 employees.
Fong received her B.S. in Computer Science from Cal State Long Beach and her M.S. in Computer Science from USC.
